This exhibition presents black and white photographs showing life in Palenstine from June 1918 to February 1919. The aim is to show the globalisation of the First World War. The exhibition can be visited freely, and is situated in the courtyard of the Bel Accueil shelter and in the tunnel-cellar of the bakery oven.
The shelter is an old farm restored in the post war style, rebuilt in 1922. The decorations and carpentry are also in the Art Deco style of this period. The exhibition was mounted on glass plates developed in Palestine by a family member of Monsieur Moreau’s, a military doctor.
The “shelter” is also available to interested groups for periods of 24 hours or for half-days. Please contact Jean-Marie Moreau at 00 33 (0)322370430 for more information.
